SXSW Part II – The Recap

As I sit at my desk in NYC surrounded by SWAG, including a 3D printed figure, custom flip book, branded magic 8 ball, and a dozen pens, I wish I was back in Austin searching the streets for free food. Despite being blocked from just about every party for being Under-21, I still had a lot of fun.

Coolest stuff? I LOVE the Leap Motion. I could try to explain why turning the vicinity surrounding your computer into a 3D workspace is so amazingly cool but lack the technical lingo. Basically it’s awesome, I want one, and Nathan Fillion from Castle was at the tent when I was there which was super cool.

I can’t go without mentioning 3D printing. It saturated the conference, around every corner was a Makerbot turning out little plastic figurines, and I loved it. At the opening keynote of the conference Bre Pettis unveiled a digitizer that will enable technological geriatrics such as myself to make fun little toys (or things that are useful if that’s your thing).

And now my sleep deprived mind goes blank. So below are fun edited photos from SXSW:
